In General Speeking

Glass-laminated plastic is a composite material made by bonding layers of glass and plastic together. It combines the strength of glass with the flexibility of plastic, creating a durable and transparent or translucent material. This composite is commonly used in safety glass, automotive windshields, architectural panels, and packaging due to its unique properties.

Polyvinyl Butyrals -PVB-

Single-layer PVB transparent material [L] & PVB black matte material [R]

Polyvinyl butyrals with a low degree of acetalization are water-soluble, highly acetalized resins dissolve in alcohols. PVB resins with a higher proportion of acetyl groups are also soluble in aromatics. When used as an interlayer between glass panes, complete functionalization is not desired, as the free OH groups allow for better bonding to the glass.

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate -EVA-

EVA plastic film products

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (also abbreviated as EVA) is an elastic and colorless plastic. Its properties vary depending on the ratio of the two components, ethylene and vinyl acetate. In general, Ethylene Vinyl Acetate is lightweight, heat-resistant, and resistant to aging.

SGP Film / Folie -SGP-

Spezialverbundglas [L] & SGP-Kunststofffolie [R]

SuperSafeGlas ionic interlayer film is an ionic film of ethylene and methacrylate copolymer, containing about 1% metal sodium ion. The adhesion of the film to glass is mainly the result of ionic bond, so SuperSafeGlas film and The bonding strength of glass is much higher than that of PVB film and glass, and its hardness is 100 times that of traditional PVB interlayer material, and the tear strength is 5 times that of PVB interlayer material.

Thermoplastic Polyurethan -TPU-

TPU Hochdichtefolie [L] & TPU Partikel [R]
